Since our charter in 2004, our American Legion Post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble below.

To the wonderful patriotic citizens of the Murray and Calloway County community. Join our Post as a Booster or Sponsor.  100% of the monies raised are given back to the community. Help us to continue sponsoring Scholarships for our children; give aid and assistance to our local needy Veterans, and their families. AMERICAN LEGION VAN SERVICE

American Legion Post 73 offers service to transport ambulatory disabled veterans to VA approved medical facilities.  On a resource limited basis, service will support Calloway and portions of adjacent counties with our one van and three volunteer drivers.

 Trips are generally confined to facilities within a 125-mile radius of Murray, KY on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Appointments should be scheduled at the medical facility for approximately 9:00am to 12:00pm.

 For requests, Veterans will need to call the Post 73 Message Board no earlier than 2 weeks before their appointment. Call telephone 270-761-8728 No Later Than 12 noon the day before their appointment; leave 6 items of information –

(1) Name
(2) Last four of SSN
(3) Home address
(4) Location of appointment
(5) Date and Time of Appointment
(6) Contact telephone number.

 A Post representative will call the requester after 1PM one or two days before their appointment to confirm the transport and time and place of pickup.
